LG Dishwasher - Not cleaning

  • Troubleshooting

At a Glance

If your dishwasher is not cleaning properly, this can be caused by a dirty filter, improperly loaded dishes, or a dirty interior from food residue.

Try This

  1. Ensure dishes are loaded properly.

1 Avoid loading dishes so that they are overlapping.

2 Ensure dishes do not come in contact with the nozzles.
Adjust the height of the racks when loading dishes, or reload dishes that the nozzles may contact.

3 For the best washing performance, load the cutlery in a standing position.

  2. Clean the filter.

1 Pull out the lower basket and remove the filter.
In some products you will need to turn the filter counterclockwise and gently pull up to remove.

2 Remove any collected debris and wash the filter in running water.

3 Reinstall the filter in the reverse order of disassembling.
Improper installation prevents the filter from collecting debris, and will affect wash performance.

  3. Perform a Machine Clean Cycle.

1 Remove any dishes from the dishwasher to clean the tub

2 Fill up the detergent dispenser with citric acid, or the dishwasher cleaner of your choosing, slide the detergent lid closed until it clicks.
