Today, at the Mall of the Emirates, LG unveiled its new 2018 OLED TV line-up, giving consumers their first glimpse of the incredibly sleek and technology-packed premium home entertainment system. The new OLED TVs feature LG’s exclusive advanced α (Alpha) 9 processor for unparalleled image quality, enhanced image rendering, perfect blacks and breathtakingly accurate colour reproduction. Also present at the launch were LG’s partners, Dolby, to showcase their audio-visual prowess through the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies incorporated into the new 2018 OLED TV line-up, creating the ultimate cinematic experience for consumers.

In keeping with the minimalist approach to design, the LG SIGNATURE OLED W8 TV takes on a radically different design from traditional TVs. The picture-on-wall – akin to wallpaper, hence the monicker – enables the W8 to be mounted virtually flush against the wall. The bezel-less display creates the illusion of a painting, with stunning colours and perfect blacks. LG’s proprietary AI ThinQ additionally bolsters the cinematic experience by boosting the colour vibrancy across the W8’s vast colour gamut, resulting in awe-inspiringly immersive viewing.

LG OLED TV also features comprehensive support of major high dynamic range formats including Dolby Vision™ HDR from the cinema, as well as HDR10 and HLG (Technicolor®), both with LG’s advanced tone-mapping technology that provides scene-by-scene optimisation and rendition that matches content envisioned by cinematographers.
