EMPOWERING-YOUR-SMART-EDUCATION-AGENDA-TODAY

The education sector has faced unprecedented challenges to deliver on the promise of access to quality education and immersion, while reverberating from the effects of the pandemic. Those who were quick to adopt digital solutions were able to ensure much needed continuity, while others found themselves playing catch-up.

In the new world of learning, institutions can no longer rely on a one-size-fits all approach. Whether considering e-learning, hybrid models or how to restore confidence in returning to physical places, decisionmakers are challenged with meeting the needs of educators, parents and students alike – with investments in technology proving especially critical. At a pre-school level, we are witnessing greater attention placed on personalized and self-paced learning. As we move into the K-12 demographic and further still to higher education, the expectations for a more adaptive approach to learning are clear – especially as students become increasingly tech-savvy.

From real-time information, visual experiences and fast access to valuable data, to increasing teaching capacity and ensuring efficient administrator, technology proves to be the unifying link and key influence over creating more engaging and cost-effective environments. Research indicates that as educators transition from more passive teaching methods to group discussions, gamification and even the use of augmented and virtual reality, student engagement and information retention also increases. As learning evolves and our connectivity increases through the proliferation of IoT and cloud solutions, businesses are also tasked with managing the secure sharing of data across multiple devices and locations – calling for a highly robust cybersecurity network.

At LG, we aim to provide a one-stop solution for all needs, backed by a rich history of working with educational institutions both locally and further afield to drive their technological agendas. We work alongside your team to understand business challenges and ambitions, considering how we can design a bespoke proposal that maximizes your growth potential.

LG offers various solutions designed specifically for schools, colleges and universities, such as interactive digital whiteboards which integrate teaching, presentation and collaboration onto a single screen, while seamlessly sharing content to other devices. Teachers and students alike can annotate or draw attention to key points using a stylus, or even their finger.

Recognizing the need for greater integration, many of our displays have also received Crestron Connected certification – ensuring that they can connect seamlessly to the Creston network for easy monitoring, managing and control via any web-enabled device. Similarly, Cisco Webex Room Kits compatibility provides easy integration, completely automated control, auto on/off and full functionality via Ethernet, from anywhere.

For physical meeting rooms, presentations where select people are present and even exhibitions, LG’s 136-inch display within our All-in-One Essential Series tackles the challenge of large displays being difficult to install – thanks to no requirements for controller connections or module configuration. Following a simple instillation process, educators simply need to turn on the screen using a remote control similar to that of a home television.

The display also comes with a flight case, for secure protection when travelling, while also containing a landscape wall mount and tools for installation. Educational institutions can also purchase a motorized stand as an addition, which enables the display to be rolled into various rooms and can adjust the height of the screen (including the stand) from 2 to 2.5 meters.

In addition to being able to operate in humid environments, the 136-inch display also benefits from power saving with Standby Mode. When there is no input with the remote control for a period of time, the screen automatically turns off and the main circuit parts inside the LED cabinet go on standby – reducing energy consumption.

Creating the right environment must also stem beyond the confines of the conventional classroom, into areas such as laboratories and libraries. LG's interactive digital systems can deliver a more efficient library experience by providing simple book search mechanisms and real-time guidance. Equally as important is the use of displays in high traffic areas, such as entrances, hallways, cafeterias and auditoriums, where directional signage, wayfinding and important updates can easily be deployed.

Customizable to suit individual requirements, LG’s range of state-of-the-art IPS panel and OLED displays guarantee optimal picture quality and stability, with a wide viewing angle – ideal for even a socially-distancing classroom today. For more unconventional environments and scalable environments, LG also has a host of modular screens, transparent film which can be overlayed onto a surface, and even curved LED signage (LAPE Series).
