Scene Analysis

Scene by scene improvements.

The scene analysis feature categorises what's being shown on screen into one of four scene types — Scenery, Night, City, and Other. It then processes the image accordingly, applying different enhancements and AI upscaling to improve picture quality. 'Scenery' enhances edges and textures, and stresses colour and clarity. 'Night' makes differences in shade more visible. And 'City' enhances the sharpness of buildings.

AI Tone Mapping analyses the image and adjusts brightness levels to minimise saturated or smeared areas. When analysing videos, it divides them into small blocks and collects data separately for each block. This way it can bring out individual areas of detail in a scene and optimise tone curves on a frame-by-frame basis.
