Is a strange noise heard while using the monitor?
➔ When the monitor generates heat, the fan operates to cool that heat, creating a humming noise.
- The fan rotates fast to lower the temperature inside the monitor.
- When the monitor operates, a “buzzing” noise of electrical stimulation being applied to the circuit, or a “whizzing” noise of fan operation, may be heard.
- If a “rattling” noise is heard, check that the product is fixed to the bracket or the stand properly.
-
However, if the wind noise is louder than usual or if it suddenly becomes louder, check if the back of the monitor is ventilated adequately and
that it is not blocked by vinyl left during initial installation.
Causes and symptoms
- Is a “humming”, “buzzing” or “rattling” noise heard from the monitor?
- Does the noise become louder during use?
➔ Installation on a table
Lift the monitor and place it upright on a table. Install it at least 100mm away from the wall for adequate ventilation.
➔ Installation on a wall
Ensuring a space of 3.93 inches between each side and walls for ventilation, install the angle-adjustable wall mount support and refer to the user manual.
Try this
Is the vent blocked by obstacles?
1. Remove any obstacles blocking the vent to ensure proper ventilation.
2. The main chipset in the monitor generates a lot of heat when processing large amounts of data.
3. The fan rotates and draws in air to lower the raised temperature inside the monitor, and if the product is installed in a poorly ventilated location,
or if the vent is blocked by any obstacles, the fan speed may increase and the noise may become louder.
4. Therefore, remove any obstacles blocking the vent and check the installation environment for good ventilation so that the monitor can properly draw in outside air and discharge hot air.
