[LG OLED TV Settings] How can I use closed captioning?

You can use closed captioning in channels or programs that support the function.

Try this

➔ To enable captions, you can follow the steps below:

  • If you are using an indoor/outdoor antenna or a wired broadcasting antenna directly connected to the TV's antenna port, you can use the caption function.
    Note that some broadcasters may not provide caption services, in which case the function may not be available.
  • The caption function is not supported with a set-top box.

※ The instructions may differ by model.

Opening [Caption] in Settings

➔ Captioning in [2022 webOS 22]

Press the Setting button button on your remote control and select [All Settings] → [General] → [Accessibility] → [Closed Caption] → [On].

1. After turning on the TV, press the [Settings] button on the remote control.
From [Settings], select [All Settings].

2. Select [General] and then [Accessibility].

3. Select [Closed Caption].

4. Set [Closed Caption] to On.

Press the Setting button button on your remote control and select [All Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Closed Caption] → [On].

[2019 WebOS 4.5] Press the Setting button button on your remote control and select [All Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Closed Caption] → [On].

[2018 WebOS 4.0] Press the Setting button button on your remote control and select [All Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Closed Caption] → [On].

[2017 WebOS 3.5] Press the Setting button button on your remote control and select [All Settings] → [Accessibility] → [Closed Caption] → [On].
