[LG OLED TV screen] While watching cable TV, I am repeatedly experiencing symptoms where the screen flickers then shuts off

Causes and Symptoms

  • The screen flashes while watching shows on cable or public-access television.
  • I can't see the screen while watching TV on cable/public-access television, and it shows me the "No Signal" message.
  • Some channels flicker or don’t show anything when I am watching cable/public-access television.

You may experience screen abnormalities if the antenna is damaged or the connection is weak.
If the broadcast signal is unstable, the screen of some channels may flash or not show anything.

How to check the signal strength and quality with TV menu
  • [2022 WebOS22], [2021 WebOS 6.0] Press the Setting button button on the remote control and select [All Settings] → [General] → [Channels] → [Channel Tuning] → [Manual Channel] → [Cable DTV]
  • [2020 WebOS 5.0] or before Press the Setting button button on the remote control and select [All Settings] → [Channels] → [Channel Tuning] → [Manual Channel] → [Cable TV].

[2022 WebOS22], [2021 WebOS 6.0]

1. Press the Setting button button on the remote and select [All Settings].

2. Select [General] → [Channels].

3. Select [Channel Tuning] → [Manual Channel].
4. If you’re watching cable, select [Cable DTV].
5. You can see the signal strength and quality of the channel being viewed.
Checking the strength and quality of the Channels you are watching

[2020 WebOS 5.0] or before

1. Turn on the TV and press the [Settings] button on the remote control to select [All Settings].

2. Select [Channels] → [Channel Tuning] → [Manual Channel] → [Cable TV]. (Select when using a cable TV)
