Do you feel that the heat is so serious that you cannot use your OLED TV?
All electronic products generate heat due to the operation of internal circuits, with the amount of heat depending on how the particular products work.
➔ LCD TVs
LCD TVs emit light by using a lamp, represent colors by adjusting the light passing through a liquid crystal, thereby generating heat as the heat of the lamp and the heat from the internal parts combine.
➔ LED TVs
There are two types of LED use as the light source for LCD TVs.
- Direct type: has LED elements densely arranged like a grid all over the screen, creating heat evenly over the screen.
- Edge type: has LED elements only on the rectangular edge of the TV, creating heat mostly on the edge rather than in the center of the screen.
➔ OLED TVs
OLED TVs emit light from individual elements with no additional light source and generate heat in the screen.
Try this
Is the screen brightness set too high?
➔ From [Video Mode Settings] of your TV, set [Brightness] at around 60 - 70%.
If the screen brightness is set too high, more light will be needed and thus more heat may be generated.
Is the video mode set to [Clear Image] or [Sport]?
➔ Click [Settings] on your TV and ensure that the video mode is set to [Standard].
Setting the video mode to [Clear Image] or [Sport] may increase both tint and brightness, creating more heat on the screen.
- Be careful not to locate your TV in direct sunlight, which may cause heat and damage such as fading or deformation of the TV panels or the LCD.
- Ambient temperatures may have an effect on it.
-
LG Electronics controls temperatures effectively enough to meet safety standards.
Don’t worry and use the product with confidence.
