Causes and Symptoms

  • Power cord contact abnormality - Simply unplugging the cord and plugging it in correctly may resolve the symptoms.
  • Remote control issue - If the remote doesn't power on the same after replacing the batteries in the remote, the remote may need to be checked and replaced.
  • Outlet fault - if there is no power in the outlet, the product will not work, check to see if the breaker is tripped.
  • TV Anomaly - Product failure is not resolved by simple actions, you may need the help of a professional service engineer.

How to check your TV

Power cord contact abnormality

The standby light does not light up and the remote control and power button do not turn on the TV because electricity is not reaching the product's power circuitry.

1. Reconnect the power cord at the back of your TV with a little pressure.
Different TV models may have slightly different power connections.

Unplug and plug in the power cord

- Adapterized power cord - In addition to the power cord connection on the back of the product and the wall outlet, make sure to check for any missing adapter connections.

- Integrated power cord - please check the outlet connection only, the cord on the back of the product does not come off.

2. Plug the TV power cord from the outlet one more time.

3. When the standby light comes back on, turn on the TV with the remote control or the power button on the base.

4. If the standby light does not turn on after these actions, the outlet may not have power or there may be a problem with the product.


TV remote control malfunction

If the TV turns on with the power button on the base

1. Turn on the TV by pressing the power button on the TV base.

※ The position of the button varies depending on the product, check the position and turn on the power

2. If the TV turns on with the power button on the base, the remote control may be faulty.

3. Replace the remote control batteries first.
- Be sure to replace the batteries with new ones, as they have an expiration date and will be discharged after a certain period of time.
- Make sure to replace the batteries according to the polarity of the batteries, they will not work if they are inserted upside down.

4. After replacing the batteries, check the signal coming from the remote control.
- With your Android phone's camera recording feature turned on, point the camera lens at the top of the remote control and press the power button.
Your phone's camera should show the signal from the remote as a bright light each time you press a button on the remote.
(This may not test for iPhones.)

5. If you don't see any light when you press the power button, the remote may be faulty.


Power outlet abnormality

If the power does not turn on even after checking the power cord, remote control, and the power button on the main unit.

1. Check that the outlet is receiving normal electricity by using a hair dryer, cell phone charger, etc.
