Does the water have a bad odor?
You may find the water tastes different to the water from the product you used before.
If you had used a water purifier from another company before you bought the refrigerator with a water purifier, you may feel like water tastes different to the water from your old water purifier.
As raw materials in water purification filters differ depending on the water purifier manufacturer, you may feel that the water tastes different.
If you use underground water, you may feel that the water odor is due to the various constituents of the underground water.
Water odors may be caused by nitrates, nitrogen and green algae components in underground water.
As underground water causes relatively rapid clogging of water purification filters, we do not recommend the use of underground water.
If you have not used the machine for a long time, you may smell a strange odor.
If you use the water purifier after not having used it for a long time, replace the water purification filter with a new one.
After replacing the filter, dispense cold water and purified water for more than 5 to 10 minutes each before using water dispensed by the machine.
In summer, you may smell a disinfectant type of odor.
If a water purification plant puts excessive amounts of chlorine in to disinfect water, the water may have a temporary disinfectant odor.
