[LG DIOS induction] There is a noise during operation

Troubleshooting

Is a “rattling”, “buzzing”, “buzzing” or “clicking” noise heard while using induction?

Causes and Symptoms

  • A noise is heard as the bottom of the induction burner comes into contact with the container.
  • The inside temperature of the induction burner increased and the cooling fan operated.
  • There is a clicking noise when I connect the power or operate the induction burner.

In the induction burner, current is generated when the magnetic field of the coil installed under the burner comes into contact with the iron component of the container.
During heating using this current, the container may vibrate slightly.
At this time, if the bottom of the pot is uneven or too thin, the vibration and the area in contact with the container increase and the noise may also become louder.
When the parts inside the induction burner become hot, a natural noise may be heard as the cooling fan operates to lower the temperature.

Try this

Is a “rattling” or “buzzing” noise heard during heating?

➔ It is a natural noise created when the container bumps the top plate of the induction burner due to fine vibrations caused by electromagnetic waves.

If a container with an uneven bottom is used, the area in contact with the induction burner increases and the noise may also become louder.
Therefore, when using an induction burner, use a container with a flat bottom surface.
It is recommended that you use a container with a thick bottom as a thin container may also be greatly affected by vibration and cause an even louder vibration.

Description of available and unusable containers

Does the fan make a “humming” noise during heating?

➔ It is a natural noise of the cooling fan operating to cool the parts inside the induction burner that have become hot.

If the temperature of the parts inside the induction burner rises as heating continues, the cooling fan automatically operates and may make a noise.
The noise level may vary depending on the structure in which the product is installed, and the cooling fan may operate for several minutes even after the induction burner is turned off.

how the cooling fan works

Is a “clicking” noise heard when you turn on the power or operate the burner for heating?

➔ It is a natural noise that occurs as the induction burner is getting ready to heat.

When you turn on the power or operate the product to use the burner, a noise may be heard as the induction burner switch turns on/off during heating.
