Do [FF] (Freeze Failure)/Freeze Detection, [OE] (Water Outlet Error)/ Unable to Drain or [IE] (Water Inlet Error)/No Water Supply appears on the display and the washing machine is not working?
If cold weather continues, the water supply hose or drainage hose in the washing machine where water flows may become frozen.
If an error, including [OE]/Unable to Drain, [FF]/Freeze Failure, and [IE]/No Water Supply is displayed, it means that the drainage hose or faucet is frozen.
In this case, thaw the ice in the washing machine.
We recommend using the washing machine after the cold wave ends, if possible.
Try this
Thaw the tub and the drainage hose using warm water.
➔ Melt/thaw any ice in the tub and the drainage hose and check whether the washing machine will operate.
If there is water inside, remove the water.
(This may take more than 2 hours depending on the operating environment.)
Soak a towel with warm water, and wrap the frozen drain hose with the towel to melt the ice.
No water coming out means the ice has not melted sufficiently. Wait a little longer to drain the water.
※Use only hot water, as pouring boiling water into the tub may pose burn hazards.
Thaw the drainage hose and the faucet with warm water.
➔ Melt/thaw any ice in the drainage hose and the faucet, and check whether the washing machine will operate.
Connect the water supply hose when it is completely free of ice.
Connect the water supply hose when it is completely free of ice.
Connect the water supply hose to the washing machine, and make sure to open the faucet.
- If you do not use the washing machine for a prolonged period in cold weather, drain any water remaining in the washing machine to prevent the washing machine from freezing.
- Point the drain hose downwards in order to drain remaining water from the drainage hose.
- Ensure the drain hose is not bent to prevent any water which does remain in the drainage hose freezing.
