[LG dryer] [14kg] Clothes are hung on the dust filter while drying

Troubleshooting

Causes and Symptoms

  • Clothes are hung on the dust filter while drying.

The 14kg dryer sucks air inside powerfully in order to dry a large load of laundry.

Small clothes such as socks and handkerchiefs may be hung on the filter by the strong air flow.
In such cases, at times, larger clothing items may also be drawn down with the smaller clothes.

Does your laundry get stuck on the filter and not move, blocking the filter inlet and become stained by dirt?

LG products have dust suction inlets designed to function in two directions: vertical and horizontal.
This is to prevent laundry from blocking all the inlets if it hangs on a filter, ensuring the stable filtering of dust.

Will the laundry stuck on the dust filter disable drying?

Even when laundry hangs on the dust filter, the temperature and the air flow inside the dryer are maintained in a normal state.
Though there may be some variance, drying will be complete normally.

Wait! Here are more tips

Opening the door during drying

Opening the door during drying may lengthen the time taken for drying.
Because the drying cycle restarts from scratch when you stop the machine during drying, if you have opened the door to check your laundry, the time for drying your laundry may increase.

Even when small clothes sit on the filter (①), the air containing dust will flow into the horizontal (②)openings toward the drum, and the dust will be caught by the filter.

You don’t need to worry that your clothes sitting on the filter will become a lump of dust.
