Causes and Symptoms

  • There are foreign objects on the side rotating brush.
  • There are foreign objects on the bottom rotating brush.

It might fail to operate if there are foreign objects such as hairs in the gap between the side and the bottom rotating brush.
Separate and remove foreign objects.
If the brush is deformed, then soak it in lukewarm water for 10 seconds and take it out and unfold it with hands.

How to clean the side rotating brush
① Using a cross headed screw driver, turn the center screws of the rotating brush on the side CCW to separate it.
Note that if the screw driver is not correctly aligned with the screw hole, the screw threat can get worn out.
② Pull the rotating brush on the side to separate it from the main body.
③ Using a cleaning brush, remove foreign objects.
④ Wash the rotating brush on the side in lukewarm water.
Side rotating brush cleaning sequence
                1. Disassemble the side rotating brush screw
                2. Pull the side rotating brush upward to separate it
                3. Remove foreign substances using a cleaning brush
                4. Wash the side rotating brush in warm water.
⑤ Turn the separated screws CW to assemble it.

The rotating brushes on the left and the right have assembly units with different shapes, so look at the L/R sign to make sure you can assemble it correctly.
If the screw rotates loosely or it fails to assemble or disassemble, then you are recommended to have it checked by an LG Electronics service technician.
Assemble in the correct position by looking at the left and right markings on the side rotating brush.
How to clean the main rotating brush
① Press the hook at the top of rotating brush cover and pull it forward to separate the rotating brush cover.
② Grab the rotating brush and push the tip toward the yellow side by lifting it.
③ When one side of the rotating brush slips out from the main body, take out and separate the yellow side as well.
④ Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the rotating brush.
If hair and so on are overly intertangled, then use a cleaning brush or a scissor to remove it.
When you use a scissor, make sure to avoid cuts in the rotating brush.
Main rotary brush cleaning sequence
            1. Press the rotating brush cover lever to remove it
            2. Push the rotating brush toward the yellow side.
            3. Lift the rotating brush upward to separate it.
            4. Remove foreign substances using a vacuum cleaner.
