When the electric range is used, the exterior (cooktop, free standing case) may become hot.
During operation, heat can be transferred to the top glass and increase the temperature of the touch control panel. (Thermal conduction phenomenon)
If the cookware is larger than the size of the burner, or if it is positioned too close to the touch control panel, the cooktop temperature can be slightly higher.
※ Highlight burners have higher heat conductivity than induction burners.
Causes and Symptoms
- If the cookware is larger than the burner
Cookware size
It is recommended to use cookware with a base size of at least 90% of the diameter of the induction burner.
The ceramic glass cooktop can get very hot if the cookware is larger than the burner size.
(The following dimensions are measured based on the surface area of the cookware that directly contacts the burner when placed on it.)
