■ Possible Cause
- CH61 inspection code is activated to protect the appliance from overheated outdoor unit.
■ Solution or Setting
→ Are you getting CH61 code while on cooling mode?
1. Remove objects around the outdoor unit.
If the airflow of the outdoor unit is blocked, the unit can be overheated due to poor ventilation and it can result in weaker cooling performance or will activate
the error code.
2. Open the windows of the plant room/balcony so that the area is properly ventilated.
If the room is poorly ventilated, the outdoor unit can get overheated from its own heat and this can activate the inspection code or affect the cooling performance.
Adjust the window louvers as horizontally and possible.

3. If the outdoor unit is placed lower than its nearest window, the ambient temperature will increase due to poor ventilation.
Place or install a support under the unit so it aligns with the window.

4. If the outdoor unit is placed far away from a ventilator and window screen, the ambient temperature will increase due to poor ventilation.
Install the air guide to discharge the heated air effectively.

▶ Are you getting the CH61 code while on heating mode?
- The code may appear when the pre-filter is covered with dust and impurities. Disconnect the power cord and clean the filter.
Remove the dust clumps on the filter.
※ The pre-filter can be cleaned with water.
Some filters cannot be cleaned with water. Refer to the Owner’s Manual to find out correct cleaning method for the filter that you are using.
