Causes and Symptoms
- The power connection to the drain pump is not ok.
- Drain hose is slipped out.
- Drain pump water sensor is shut down temporarily.
If drain is not smooth due to the air conditioner installation structure, then sometimes you have to install a drain hose.
※ Drain pump is provided from the installation store, not from LG Electronics.
Check with the installation service company.
Try this
1Check if the drain pump is installed.
➔ In some cases, it is installed at the rear of the product or inside the product.
2Check the power connection to the drain pump.
Unplug the power cord of the drain pump and plug it again after a moment to see if the power is on
properly.
It could be a temporary power supply failure.
Connect other electronics[ex: Hair drier and etc] to the outlet and see if it is ok.
1. If other electronics work fine but the drain pump does not work, → repair the drain pump.
2. If other electronics are not powered on either, → repair the power strip or outlet at your home.
3Check if the air conditioner drain hose is properly connected to the drain pump.
➔ Insert and connect the drain hose to the drain pump correctly.s
4Shake the drain pump left and right gently.
If the water sensor in the pump cannot move temporarily due to obstacles, then it might not operate
properly.
By gently shaking the pump left and right, let the water sensor move.
If the drain pump malfunction is confirmed
Contact the drain pump installation agent or company for necessary actions.
