In line with its commitment to consolidate on offering customer-centric solutions, LG Electronics, global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics and home appliances, has unveiled a new improved service center in Nigeria.

The service center, which is located on 22 Burma Road in Apapa, is its largest center in West Africa. Speaking at the opening of the outlet, Mr. B.W Park, President, LG West Africa Operations, said: “This initiative is aimed at ensuring that LG delivers on its promise of a one year Pan-African warranty and also provision of excellent after-sales service” Park said, “this covers all LG products ranging from its washing machines, microwave ovens, televisions (both plasma and LCD), air conditioners, to any LG product, no matter how small.”

He stressed that the service centre is for general maintenance of LG products, adding that repairs carried out in its service centres were guaranteed to be made to LG specifications which ensures that the product would be as good as new.

Explaining how it operates, General Manager, LG Electronics Service Centre, Mr Lee Sung Oh, said, “our customers can now enjoy the benefits of the service centre which is in line with global standards and in West Africa we have a Pan African one year service warranty in place for the last four years.

LG products must be bought from authorized channels with a proof of purchase. If the product develops a fault, the user is allowed to return the product along with the original copy of proof of purchase to the service centre”.

Sung HO noted that “damages, including misuse and abuse of products are not covered by the warranty as only genuine faults will be fixed FREE of charge as appropriate within the shortest possible time”.

Speaking further, Mr Mohammed Fouani, Managing Director, Fouani Nigeria Ltd, LG’s sole distributor, said, “LG Electronics products are engineered to improve and enhance the living conditions of all our consumers and we are fully committed to providing Nigerian end users with top class warranty and after sales support for all our products. We are working with all other distributors to ensure that they sell only products that will qualify for repairs at the service centres in Nigeria.

He concluded by encouraging all LG customers in Nigeria to buy their products from authorized distributors, so that they could get the one-year warranty service as that is the only way they could enjoy value for their money.
