LG Electronics Set to Launch Plasma AC

LG Electronics has added another product to its range of air conditioners.

The product, Plasma Air conditioner, has purifying system (developed uniquely by LG Electronics), which removes microscopic contaminants, dust, house mites, pollen and pet fur to help prevent allergic diseases like asthma.

In order to ensure that its costumers in Nigeria enjoy the product to its utmost, LG electronics in conjunction with its distributors commenced a series of training programme for different level of technicians in the country.

To achieve excellent training and good transfer of knowledge, two highly rated engineers from LG Electronics came into the country to handle the exercise, which commenced in Port Harcourt, Rivers State with a workshop for LG Electronics salesmen in the region, special training for salesmen in Alaba market and training for air conditioner technicians in Oregun, Ojota in Lagos.

The training progamme facilitated solely by LG Electronics aside from training and educating technicians on how to handle the new product provides a platform for interactive opportunities with local engineers and the consumers.

LG Plasma AC which comes with a filter that can be used over and over again by simply washing with water, thereby providing clean fresh air is cost saving and last for two years, against what is obtained in the past where filters are regularly replaced to continuously enjoy air conditioners.

The scheduled launch of the product in Nigeria at Lagoon Restaurant in April will bring to bear the place of pride Nigeria occupies in the mind of top management echelon of the multinational electronics company as personalities such as Mr.T.H Ryu, President LG Electronics, West Africa Operations amongst others will be in the country specifically for the launch.

LG Electronics was the first company to commercialize a full line of web-enabled home network appliances including refrigerator, washing machines, microwave ovens, and air conditioners, and is increasingly seen as a leader in premium appliances.

It will be recalled that LG Electronics recently declared a 31.98% increase in sales turnover in 2003 for the Middle East and Africa thereby reaching the US$1.5billion mark for the first time in the region.
