LG DVD - No power

Troubleshooting

LG DVD - No power

1. Check the Power Cable

  • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the DVD player and the power outlet.
  • If the cable appears damaged or frayed, you may need to replace it.

2. Test the Power Outlet

  • Plug another device, like a lamp or phone charger, into the same power outlet to ensure it’s working.
  • If the outlet is faulty, try a different one.

3. Check the Power Switch

  • Ensure the power switch on the DVD player is turned on. Some models have a separate power switch on the back.

4. Unplug and Reset

  • Unplug the DVD player from the electrical outlet for about 1-2 minutes to reset it. Then, plug it back in and try turning it on.

5. Inspect the Remote

  • If you're trying to turn the DVD player on with the remote, make sure the batteries are not dead. Try using the physical power button on the device itself.

6. Check for Blown Fuse

  • If your LG DVD player has a fuse, it may be blown. Refer to the user manual to check if it needs replacing.

7. Test with Another Power Cable

  • If possible, try using a different power cable (from another device) to see if the original one is faulty.
