LG TONE - Free My TONE Free has charging and pairing issues. The indicator light won’t turn on.

Troubleshooting


This may occur when the earbuds are not properly detected due to foreign objects on the charging case or earbud charging port.

Once the TONE Free detects that the earbuds are placed in the cradle, it starts controlling pairing operations, turning on and off the indicator light, and harnessing the power of UV-C light to kill bacteria.
If there is a foreign object on the charging case charging port or earbud charging port, even if the earbuds are placed in the charging case, they may not be detected properly and it may lead to the following issues: Unable to charge, poor pairing, indicator light not working, high-pitched noise generated on Ambient Sound Mode, etc.

Try this

Clean the charging port regularly so that there are no foreign substances.
In particular, liquid foreign substances such as sweat, water, cosmetics, etc. can cause an electrical short circuit, which may lead to defective charging case or earbuds.

1. Remove foreign substances from the charging case charging port.

2. Remove foreign substances from the earbud charging port.

※ To remove foreign substances, gently wipe down your TONE Free with a tissue paper or dry cloth.
