LG Front Load Washer - How to set the water temperature

If you select the water temperature before choosing a wash cycle, the washer will not use the selected temperature. Instead, it will automatically default to the standard water temperature preset for the chosen cycle.

Note

When the steam function is enabled on the washer, the water temperature cannot be selected. If no cycle is chosen, the washer will run on the Normal cycle with the default water temperature, but you can pause the washer and adjust the temperature if needed.

Try this

First, select your desired wash cycle. Then, press the Temp. button to choose the preferred water temperature. Note that some cycles use a fixed water temperature to protect the laundry from damage.

Models with the steam function

Turn the dial to select a cycle. (The steam function will automatically activate if a steam cycle is chosen.) To turn off the steam function, press the Steam button ( Note: The steam function cannot be disabled on certain cycles). Finally, press the Temp. button to choose your desired water temperature.
