[LG Air Conditioner Heating][Inverter product] Outdoor unit is on and off repeatedly

Troubleshooting

Depending on the indoor temperature, the outdoor unit of the inverter air conditioner can adjust the number of rotations[RPM] for the compressor, thus increasing or decreasing the cooling ability.
If the indoor temperature is much higher than the target temperature, then it requires high cooling performance, thus the number of rotations for the compressor is increased. If it is slightly higher than the indoor temperature, the number of rotations for the compressor is reduced to maintain the less cooling performance.

Inverter control method 1 – When the target temperature is reached, the number of rotations for the compressor/outdoor unit fan is reduced. [Pressure control method]

In this case, the compressor or the outdoor fan does not completely stop but keeps operating at low speed, thus you might feel that [Outdoor unit is on and off or does not operate at all].

Inverter control method 2 – When the target temperature is reached, the number of rotations for the compressor is reduced but that of the /outdoor unit fan is kept same. [Step control method]

In this case, the number of rotations for the compressor is reduced but that of the outdoor fan is not, thus you might feel that [Outdoor unit is on and off or does not operate at all].

※ The outdoor unit is turned off only if the indoor temperature is at least 1 degree lower than the target temperature.
Due to the inverter characteristics, if the difference between the target temperature and the indoor temperature is small, the number of rotations for the compressor is reduced and thus the target temperature is maintained for power saving effects.

※ In case of inverter air conditioner, the outdoor unit does not turn off even if the indoor temperature reaches the target temperature.
In this power saving method, the minimum amount of electricity is used to adjust the target temperature while making sure the product is not turned off and use less energy to maintain the indoor temperature for reduction of the electricity bills.

1. In case of smaller area size compared to the capacity of the air conditioner
If you select the higher capacity of the air conditioner than the indoor space size, the indoor temperature will go down very quickly and there is danger of overcooling.

2. In case of raising the target temperature in the middle of operation with less number of rotations after reaching the target temperature
