[LG Air Conditioner Error Code] A message reading Clean Filter is shown on the display. The message does not disappear even after cleaning

Troubleshooting Commercial Air Conditioners 08/06/2023

Message [Clean Filter] automatically appears on the LCD display of the remote control when operation hours recorded so far reach the filter cleaning timing independent from filter cleaning.

Try this.

How to release [Clean Filter] message

➔ Check the filter for dusts built up, and then continue using the product for approximately 50 hours.
The message automatically disappears.

How to reset operation hours of filter with cable remote control
Open the cover of the remote control, and repeat pressing [Set Function] button to move to the Filter Displaying Release menu.
When message Clean Filter blinks, press [Release Setting] button to set release of filter cleaning message.
How to reset operation hours of filter with wireless remote control
Turn the wireless remote control toward the indoor unit, and press [Cancel Reservation] button, [Cancel All of Reservations] button, or [Set/Release] button 3 times to release [Clean Filter] message.

※ Displaying filter cleaning alarm varies among the air conditioner models.

Note
  • The green LED lamp on the indoor unit display of the air conditioner released before February, 2014 lights even if the product stops.
  • As for the air conditioners released after February, 2014, the yellow-green lamp on the indoor unit lights while the product runs, and the yellow lamp lights when the product stops.
  • As for the one-way type air conditioner, the green LED lamp lights on the display of the indoor unit, or [Clean Filter] message on the LCD display of the cable remote control.
