LG Air Conditioner - It says [Defrosting] or [Preheating] but there is no hot wind

Troubleshooting

What is defrosting operation?

➔ Defrosting code is an alarm message to notify users of the fact that ice(frost) formed on the outdoor unit is being melted.

In laymen's term, during heating operation, there is hot wind in the indoor environment, but the outdoor unit generates cold wind.
At that moment, ice is made and in order to remove that ice, heating stops momentarily and then raising the temperature of the outdoor unit.
This is called defrosting operation.
During defrosting operation, ice is melted and vapors are generated.

What is pre heating operation?

➔ Pre heating code is an alarm sensor that notifies that there is ongoing pre heating inside the air conditioner during heating operation.

During heating, it circulates warm refrigerant to the indoor to raise the pipe temperature and then starts heating, thus there is no hot wind right away.
In addition, if the surrounding of the outdoor unit drops below -15°C(5°F), preheating might take longer than usual or lukewarm wind can come out.
