[LG refrigerator - condensation] Condensation forms inside the fridge compartment. There are water droplets inside the fridge compartment.

Troubleshooting

When you open/close the door, warm outside air will mix with the air inside the refrigerator and the moisture in the air may form condensation on fittings such as racks or the walls inside the refrigerator where the temperature is low.

This is similar to the condensation forming on the surface of a cold glass in the heat of summer. You may see condensation forming inside the refrigerator mainly on hot and wet days.
Particularly when the refrigerator is installed near a veranda window for example, wet air from outside can enter the veranda through the window and may help condensation form inside the refrigerator.

Dew forms inside the refrigerator (same as dew forms on cold glass surfaces)

Causes and Symptoms

  • Condensation forms on the surface of the exterior of the refrigerator.
  • Water drips inside the fridge compartment.

Try this

Ensure that the door of the refrigerator is closed tightly.

If the refrigerator door is open, outside air may enter and form condensation in the top and inside the refrigerator.
If the door is not closed tightly because there is too much food stored in the refrigerator or because food protrudes out of the bottle stand in the refrigerator door, cold air will leak through small openings and condensation will form.
Rearrange the food items and wipe off any condensation formed inside the refrigerator with a dry towel, and carry on using your refrigerator.

Remove foreign objects from the door gasket of the home bar (or Magic Space).

If the door gasket is stained or deforms as a result of hardened foreign objects, gaps may be created, leading to incomplete sealing of the door and the formation of condensation.
Wipe off any condensation on the door gasket or inside the refrigerator using a warm dishcloth, and then wipe the area with a dry dishcloth one more time.
Slightly tilt your refrigerator backward.
This will improve door gasket sealing.

Check if your refrigerator is installed in a place where the ambient temperature is between 5℃ to 43℃ with low humidity and good ventilation.

If the ambient temperature is suitable for the installation of your refrigerator, slightly tilt your refrigerator backward.
This will improve door gasket sealing.

Cool hot foods sufficiently and place lids of food containers before you put them into the refrigerator.

Hot foods placed in the refrigerator before they cool may cause condensation when the hot air from the food meets the cold air inside the refrigerator.
Cool hot foods sufficiently before you put them in the refrigerator.
This problem may also occur when food stored in containers leaks through openings in the containers while they are in the refrigerator.
Ensure that watery or liquid foods are kept in tightly sealed containers.

Condensation forming on the door gasket of the 4-door refrigerator
The door gasket inside the fridge compartment of the 4-door refrigerator with water purifier is the passage of cold air that is used for making ice by the ice maker.
As cold air passes to make ice, the door gasket remains cold on its surface.
In the course of making and preserving ice, the surface of the door gasket gets cold and forms condensation. This is similar to condensation forming on the inner side of glass windows in the cold winter.
When condensation forms, you can simply sponge it off with a dry towel.
