[LG TV Settings] How can I use the HGIG function?

Troubleshooting

HGIG (HDR Gaming Interest Group) is a standard for setting screen colors and atmosphere as intended by game developers.
While a supported game console is connected, you can select it from the [Tone Mapping Compensation] function among [Game Optimizer],
and the color tone of the game screen, the difference between the bright and dark parts of the screen, is optimally compensated to meet the intention of the game creator.

※ Depending on the TV model, connected game console, and game title, it may not be supported or the menu may differ.

Try this

  • [2021 WebOS 6.0] or later ( setting ) on the remote control → [All Settings] → [General] → [Game Optimizer] → [Screen] → [Tone Mapping Compensation].
  • [2020 WebOS 5.0] or earlier ( setting ) on the remote control → [All Settings] → [Video] → [Video Mode Settings] → [Advanced Settings] → [Tone Mapping Compensation].

[2021 WebOS 6.0] or later

When [HGIG] is selected, the screen may look darker than in the case when Tone Mapping [ON] is selected.
Select Tone Mapping [ON] and [OFF] alternately to set a screen that is easy on the eye.

Select Game Optimizer from the General Menu
