Using the control panel
Open the door of the Knock-on Magic Space to see the control panel.
You can set various functions from the control panel.
1. Using the automatic door opening
When you place your feet on the floor on the right of the refrigerator, the right-side door of the refrigerator will automatically open.
When both your hands are filled with food, you can open the refrigerator door without having to use your hand.
① Before you can use the automatic door opening, you must first enable it from the control panel.
Open the door of Knock-on Magic Space, press Auto Open from the control panel that is located under the fridge compartment.
② At every pressing of the button, it will toggle among Auto Door Open On → Auto Door Open (Sound Off) → Auto Door Open Off.
③ Once you have set the automatic door opening, standing in front of the right door of the refrigerator will display DOOR OPEN on the floor.
Placing your foot under the DOOR OPEN sign will open the door automatically.
2. Using the Automatic Drawer
① Open the door of Knock-on Magic Space, press the Auto Drawer button from the control panel that is located under the fridge compartment.
② Pressing the Auto Drawer button will enable this function and pressing again will disable it.
③ When you open the freezer door past 85°, the freezer drawer will come out automatically.
When you close the freezer door, the freezer drawer will go back automatically.
Using the convertible pantry
This space is where you can store food materials in the selected mode, including refrigerated food, milk products, meat/fish.
Each time you press the Select button, the pantry setting will toggle among Refrigerated food, Milk products, and Meat/Fish.
Using the Knock-on Magic Space
You can see the inside of your refrigerator simply by knocking without having to open the refrigerator door and let out cold air.
1. Knock on the center section of the Knock-on Magic Space to produce the sound “Knock-Knock".
2. At every two knocks on the Knock-on Magic Space, the LED lamp inside it will turn on for 10 seconds and then turn off automatically.
Water purifier control panel (for applicable models only)
Refrigerators of LG Electronics are divided into two types: the top freezer refrigerators and the refrigerator with water purifier.
You can set options for making ice or select the amount of water to purify from the control panel of the water purifier.

Pressing the Continue button will continue dispensing water for 3 minutes.
When Continue is enabled, you can press and release the lever to stop dispensing water. -
In the case of quantified dispenses (120ml, 500ml, and 1L), water dispensing will continue until the measured amount is delivered even if you have pressed and released the lever.
To stop dispensing water, press the lever once again.
Pressing the lever again will stop the water purifier operation that you have selected. - Cold water is dispensed at up to 1L at a time.
- If you withdraw the cup from the lever or continue dispensing water or ice for 3 minutes. Water or ice delivery will cease after the 3 minutes and the option you have selected will be disabled.
