Checking the power status
Air conditioners are electrical appliances that consume a lot of power.
Check if the power of the product is turned on.
1. If the power cord is loosely plugged in, the cord may overheat or the power may be turned off.
Pull the power cord out, cool the cord for approximately 30 minutes, then reconnect the power cord correctly
and restart the air conditioner.
2. Avoid using a power strip and plug it in a wall electrical outlet by itself for use.
3. If a power strip must be used due to the installation environment, use a 16 or higher amps power strip with a cable thickness between 2 to 2.5mm(0.08in~0.1in). The air conditioner must be used alone.
A multi strip cannot be used for stand type air conditioners.
There is a risk of fire even if it is used alone due to the maximum current drawn by the single stand
type air conditioner.
Checking the setting condition of the product
➔ Check the operation mode of the air conditioner.
1. Set the general cooling mode and the target temperature of 18℃(64.4°F), and operate it for more than 30 minutes and check the coldness.
2. Air purification standalone operation, dehumidification, AI[A1], power saving operation and so on might not feel cold enough.
Checking the power status
➔ Checking the indoor unit
Clean the ultra fine filter.
A contaminated filter may cause decreased cooling capacity, noises or condensation.
Use a cleaning machine or soft brush to clean it.
➔ Checking the outdoor unit
Check if the evaporator of the outdoor unit at the rear of the product is clogged.
If the evaporator for the outdoor unit fails to discharge heat smoothly due to obstacles or alien
substances, then the cooling performance can be degraded.
In the extremely hot weather, spray water to the top of evaporator or outdoor unit.
According to the principle of operation, the air conditioner has a difficulty in fully exerting cooling
abilities when the temperature is too low [minimum 32.4℉] or too high [maximum 18℃(64.4°F)].
In the hot summer, when the outdoor unit is directly exposed to the strong sunlight or heat, refrigerant
circulation will not be so smooth, thus in some cases, even if you turn on the air conditioner, there is not
cold wind coming from it.
1. Remove the power plug of the air conditioner and spray an adequate amount of water to the top of outdoor unit and the evaporator to cool down the heat.
2. Install a screen at the outdoor unit to prevent exposures to the direct sunlight.
