The cooling motor for the inverter type air conditioner will reduce or increase the number of rotations for the motor depending on the difference between the indoor temperature and the target temperature.
If the indoor temperature is high and thus cooling is required, then the number of rotations for the cooling motor is increased for higher cooling performance, thus noises can be louder.
And, as the indoor temperature gets close to the target temperature, the number of rotations for the cooling motor is reduced and the noises will be also reduced.
Causes and Symptoms
- For cooling operation, the cooling motor(compressor) is operating at high speed.
- When the outdoor unit is operating, there is shaking sound from the handrail angle.
- There are alien substances inside the outdoor unit.
Is the outdoor unit installed in the stair angle?
Find the part generating noises and fix it with a cable tie or steel wire and etc.
Are there alien substances inside the outdoor unit?
Check if there is branch or alien substances stuck in the fan of the outdoor unit.
Make sure to turn off the power and remove alien substances.
