The cause could be due to outlet capacity, circuit breaker capacity, or the power cord not being securely plugged in.
After plugging in the power cord, press the power switch on the front of the dryer to check if power is supplied.
Try this
The power turns off during use.
➔ Electric dryer
1. When using an extension cord, ensure that the outlet has a capacity of 16A.
If the capacity is less than 16A, it may cause the dryer to turn off due to insufficient power supply.
If the extension cord has appliances plugged in other than the dryer, unplug them and avoid using them and the dryer simultaneously.
Using electric dryers and other appliances together on a single outlet can cause the power to turn off due to insufficient capacity. (This also applies to wall outlets.)
2. If you're not using an extension cord, ensure that the power cord is plugged in correctly.
3. If there is no electricity, check whether the circuit breaker for the wiring has tripped.
If the breaker keeps tripping during dryer usage, the capacity of the wiring breaker is insufficient.
When using the dryer, minimize the use of other appliances (avoid using the washing machine's boiling function at the same time) or replace the circuit breaker with a larger capacity.
Distinguish between the earth leakage circuit breaker (LB) and the circuit breaker for wiring (NFB).
If the breaker for wiring trips, it means that the electrical capacity is insufficient.
➔ Gas dryer
1. Open the door and check if the lamp inside is lit.
If the lamp is on, the power supply is working but there may be a problem with the machine.
An inspection by an LG service technician is required.
2. If the lamp is not on, make sure that the power cord is plugged in correctly.
3. If the power cord is plugged in correctly, check the circuit breaker.
There is no power supply.
1. If there is no sign on the display when pressing the [Power] button while connected to the outlet, connect another electrical device to the power supply (outlet) to check if the outlet is working properly.
2. If the connected electrical device fails to work, there is a high possibility that there is a problem with the power source itself, so check the power supply.
If the connected electrical device is working properly, the dryer needs to be inspected. In this case, contact an LG service technician for on-site service.
3. Check whether an extension cord is being used and connect to a single wall outlet if possible.
※ If the problem still persists, it is recommended that you ask for an inspection by an LG service technician through accurate diagnosis.
