[LG Dryer Water Drainage] I want to switch the dryer water drainage method(from water container to direct drainage)

Troubleshooting

Do you want to directly drain water from the dryer instead of using a water container?

When you use a [drying] cycle, condensed water from wet laundry will be collected in the water container.
If you don’t want to use the water container then connect a drain hose to the dryer so that water can be drained to the outside through the drain hole.
If the location of the dryer makes it difficult to connect a drain hose, use a water container instead.

Wait! Find out more.
Depending on the dryer model and capacity, different drain hose connection methods will be used.

Try this

1. After locating the connector on the rear of the dryer, disconnect the existing water container hose connection.
2. Remove the rubber cap on the bottom of the connector. Then insert the rubber cap into the top hole of the connector to block the hole.
3. A water drain hose is included in the dryer accessories. Connect the hose to the bottom of the connector.
Adjust the length and direction of the water drain hose so that water can be drained through the drain hole.
4. Check that the drain hose is not kinked or twisted to ensure that the water is drained well.
Also, make sure that the height from the dryer’s base to the drain hole is no greater than 1m.
The drain hose should gently fall inside the drain hole. The drain hole should be located in a place with hard, even flooring.
Since the length of one drain hose is 2.1 meters long, you might need extra extension hoses depending on the installation environment.
Incorrect example: The drain hose is kinked and installed upward, preventing water from flowing properly.

5. Once the water drain hose is connected, operate the dryer to see if the [Water Drain] error message appears.
If the [Water Drain] error message does not appear, then it means that the water drain hose is connected well.
Warning!

When pulling out the rubber cap from the bottom of the connector, be careful not to separate the connector itself.
If you grab and turn the connector, the hose inside the dryer can get twisted and cause a malfunction.
