[LG Monitor Screen] The screen blinks

Check if internal metal pins are bent or there are alien substances and if so, replace it with an authentic cable.

Causes and Symptoms

• The power cord and the PC/signal cable connections are poor.
• Monitor's recommended resolution/frequency setting is changed.

Try this

Did you check the power cord and the monitor adapter connections?

➔ Check if the power cord is correctly connected to the multi tab and if the monitor adapter is accurately inserted.

Did you remove the connected cable and check the contact?

➔ Check if internal metal pins are bent or there are alien substances and if so, replace it with an authentic cable.

Did you connect it with the cable included in the product package provided when purchasing it.

If you use a cable out of the product specs, then it can cause screen blinking and mute no display.

Did you check the monitor setting to see if the DFC/SES functions are activated?

If the DFC or SES function is activated, then the screen might blink as a result.

➔ Deactivating the SES(SMART ENERGY SAVING) function.

① At the bottom center of the product, press the Joystick button to open the main menu.

② Move to the right to select [Settings].

③ Select [General].

④ Select [SMART ENERGY SAVING].

⑤ Select [Off] to deactivate the function.

➔ Deactivating the DFC(Digital Fine Contrast) function.

① At the bottom center of the product, press the Joystick button to open the main menu.

② Move to the right to select [Settings].

③ Select [Picture].

④ Select [Picture Adjust].

⑤ Select Off in [DFC].

Did you reset the monitor setting?

➔ It can occur due to monitor power saving or auto off errors, thus reset the monitor to the factory setting.

① At the bottom center of the product, press the Joystick button to open the main menu.

② Move to the right to select [Settings].

③ Select [General].

④ Select [Reset to Initial Settings] and press [Yes] to reset it.

Did you try to change the PC resolution to [Recommended]?

In Windows, check if the display resolution is set to [Recommended].

① Right click with the mouse button on an empty space in the background of your PC screen and then select [Display Settings].

② Set [Change the size of text, apps, and other items] and [Display Resolution] to [Recommended].

If the same problem persists after changing the graphic resolution to [Recommended], then have it accurately inspected by an LG Electronics technician.
