[LG Monitor] I cannot set the 4K resolution

You cannot set the 4K resolution in the monitor that is supposed to support 4K?

The 4K resolution enhances the user’s immersion rate with clear pictures and high definition(3840 x 2160).
To express the 4K resolution on the monitor, you must make sure that the graphics card of your PC supports the 4K resolution and
use the cable supporting 4K/60Hz when connecting the PC to the monitor.

Causes and Symptoms

  • The graphic card of the PC does not support the 4K resolution.
  • You did not connect it with a HDMI 2.0 or DP cable that supports 4K/60Hz.
  • When connecting it with a HDMI 2.0 cable, you did not activate the Ultra HD Deep Color settings on the monitor.

If the cable does not support 4K/60Hz, then the screen display will have a problem.
If you are unable to verify that your cable supports 4K/60Hz, then ask the cable seller.

Does your graphics card of the PC support the 4K resolution?

➔ Check the specs of the graphics card for your PC.

3. Check [Advanced display settings] to see if the graphic card supports the 4K resolution (3840 x 2160).

Did you connect the PC and the monitor using a cable that supports the 4K resolution?

➔ Check the PC and monitor ports and use a HDMI 2.0 or DP cable that supports 4K/60Hz when connecting the PC and the monitor.
