Check if power is supplied to the TV monitor and if the remote control buttons are working normally.
Causes and Symptoms
- Check if the power strip is turned off or if the power switch of the TV monitor is turned off.
- Check if the remote control receiver of the TV monitor is blocked by an obstacle.
- Check if the remote control buttons are working normally.
Try this
1. If you cannot turn on the TV monitor using the remote control, check if the power strip power switch is turned off.
2. Press the AC power switch at the bottom of the TV monitor to turn on the power.
If the TV monitor was turned off using the power switch at the bottom of the product, it won’t be turned on using the remote control.
(The position of the AC power switch may vary by product model.)
3. Check if there are any obstacles around the remote control receiver of the TV monitor.
If so, the TV monitor may not be able to detect signals sent from the remote control.
4. Turn off the room or living room lights and operate the remote control.
The remote control may malfunction due to frequency interference from three-wavelength fluorescent lamps (ballasts).
(The frequency of the remote control is 38(KHz))
5. Use the camera function on your phone to check whether the remote control is working.
If you see the infrared light from the transmitter when you press a button on the remote control using the camera function on your phone, the remote control is normal.
If not, replace the remote control batteries and check again.
※ If it is judged to be an abnormality in the remote control, you can purchase a replacement from a nearby LG Electronics Customer Information Center or
