Check to make sure the air filter is clean.
There may be below reason for if Air Conditioner Freezes Up
1) Air Conditioner Freezes Up - Air Flow is Blocked
- Check your AC Filters are cleaned properly
- Check Swing Flap is not blocking Air from AC
- Don't set Temperature below 70 °F or 22 °C for long time
2) Air Conditioner Freezes Up - Low Refrigerant
- Check for Gas Leak in your AC
3) Air Conditioner Freezes Up - Low Outdoor Temperature
If the outdoor temperature is below 70 F (21 C), then the coil may ice up during operation. If this is the case, set the unit to fan only mode and low fan speed and allow the unit time to run until the ice is melted.
