LG Air Conditioner - Heating Cannot select heating.

Troubleshooting


Try this

Check if the model that you use is intended for both heating and cooling.

Check if the remote controller is the one provided when you purchased the model.

→ It is possible to set the power supply or cooling mode, even in case of wrong model, but you cannot set the heating mode, in case of wrong model.
Try again if there is another remote controller nearby.

Check Mode Settings:

  • Ensure that the air conditioner is set to the  Heating mode. This can usually be done using the remote control or the unit’s control panel.

  • Verify Temperature Settings:
  • Make sure the temperature setting is higher than the current room temperature. The unit may not switch to heating if the set temperature is lower.

  • Check for Mode Lock:
  • Some models have a mode lock feature. Check the user manual to see if heating mode is locked or restricted.

  • Inspect Remote Control Batteries:
  • Replace the batteries in the remote control to ensure it’s sending the correct signals.

  • Clean Air Filters:
  • Dirty filters can affect performance. Clean or replace the air filters if necessary.

  • Check for Error Codes:
  • Look for any error codes on the display panel that might indicate a malfunction.

※ You can use the Mode button to select cooling, AI, dehumidification or heating.

When the operation selection button on the remote control is pressed, the heating message appears
