ALLERGIES AT HOME, THE ENEMY FROM WITHIN

LG’s secret to enjoy an allergy-free home

 June 6, 2012: LG Electronics, the global specialist and technology innovator in home appliances, consumer electronics and home entertainment, organized a media round table aiming at announcing the latest breakthroughs in indoor allergies and their relationship with ACs. The gathering took place at LG Electronics Office and grouped a selection of Lebanese editors specialized in health, technology and lifestyle. 

The discussion was led by Dr. Jean Deriane, Allergist and Asthmologist and former Unit Chief of Allergy at Saint Georges University Hospital, who highlighted indoor allergies, their repercussions on people’s health and the best ways to prevent them.

Welcoming the media on the day, Mr. James Chung, General Manager LGE Lebanon, stressed about LG’s commitment towards the media as part of LG Media Club strategy: “These initiatives are a further step taken by LG to bring media dignitaries together with experts to build efficient communications and strong relationships. LG strongly believes in the role of the media in reinforcing LG’s position in Lebanon. This is why we constantly strive to strengthen ties with journalists who will partake in the advancements, and the company’s latest technologies, and products on local as well as international levels.”

During his presentation, Dr. Jean Deriane emphasized the importance of raising awareness on indoor allergies and taking the most efficient measures to prevent them. He explained: “Most people with asthma or hay fever or other outdoor allergies think of their home as a haven where they can escape their allergies. In fact, houses and apartment buildings harbor their own allergens trapping them inside and making them impossible to avoid. Indoor allergies are considered as the most unsettling kind especially that they attack from within and may last all year long. In this essence, ACs with filters and air purifiers are becoming a must in every home”.  

LG AC specialist, Eng.
