LG Media Club Members Participate in the LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon

Amman, Jordan (April 2012) – LG electronics arranged a special competition for the LG Media Club Members during the 19^th LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon. LG invited the media to participate in the 10K track, and an award was given to the media club member who finished the track in record time in comparison to his colleagues.

Mohammad Ammar, a journalist for the sports column from Al Ghad newspaper, won LG’s 3D cinema TV 42 inches, after he competed with a number of journalists and media representatives from different media institutes. Mohammad Ammar mentioned that this is the first time he participates in the marathon in three years, and he was able to win 1^st place, by being awarded, he now feels encouraged to exercise more and to go back to athletic activities.

Commenting on his participation, Mohammad Ammar said, “I am very happy to have taken part in this internationally acclaimed marathon, it holds a message that supports a noble humane cause for the local community. And I am proud that I won the 1^st place in the LG Media Club competition, and to have won the 3D cinema TV. I would like to thank LG’s efforts and its continuous support for this international event, and their keenness in inviting journalists to participate in such an active and competitive event”.   

From his end, Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Tae Hun Ryu, said, “I am happy that journalists and media representatives have come to participate in such a noble humane cause, and not just cover it from afar. And we are proud to have awarded Mohammad Ammar from Al Ghad for this year with our most premium product, LG Cinema 3D TV, as our way to express our gratitude, and appreciate Mohammad’s efforts in encouraging his colleagues to participate in these activities”.

 Mr. Mohammad Ammar was presented with LG Cinema 3D TV during the awarding ceremony, with the presence of HRH Prince Firas Bin Ra’ed, Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Tae Hun Ryu, and the Korean Ambassador to Jordan Mr. Shin Hyun-Suk.

It is also worth mentioning that the most important feature in the 3D cinema TV is the FPR technology, which has been recognized for its Flicker Free, by Intertek, and TÜV, which enables a clear 3D viewing experience for the viewer while using the special light 3D glasses.
