[LG Audio] How can I reset the sound bar?

Causes and Symptoms

  • How can I reset the sound bar?
  • The button does not work when I try to use the sound bar.
  • There is no voice from the sound bar.

Try this

This is how to avoid the problem by resetting the sound bar.

1. If the button on the sound bar does not work or if there is no sound, then reset the product.
2. Turn on the sound bar to reset it.
3. Proceed with the reset method for each model.
4. As the [E2P CLR] message is displayed, it is automatically powered off.
5. Turn on the power again to see if it operates properly. If it does, then it means that the reset is successful.

※ If the reset fails after seeing the E2P CLR message, then check it with the service manager.

How to reset each model

→ NB5530 / LAP340 (※ There is no number button on the remote control.)

Since the remote control for the model does not have number buttons, ask for help at the customer center of LG Electronics.
※ This is what to do when you have a sound bar remote control with number buttons.
1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [0] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. Power will be off automatically

→ NB4530A / NB2430A

1. Press the [■(Stop)] button on the sound bar and the [0] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ NB5540 / NB4540 / NB3540

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [0] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR error is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ LAS855, 750, 550, 450 / SH5 / SH7 / SH8 , SJ5 / SJ7 / SJ8 / SJ9

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Sound Effect] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR error is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ LAS350B

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Treble] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ LAS260B

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Voice Up] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ SJ2

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Standard Sound Field] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ SH2

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Standard Sound] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ SK5Y

1. Press the [–] button on the sound bar and the [Auto Sound Field] button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.

→ SK10Y / SK8Y

1. Press the [Wi-Fi] button on the sound bar for more than 5 seconds.
2. The E2P CLR message is displayed and the power is turned off.
