Do white things settle when you freeze or boil the water purified by the water purifier of the refrigerator?
The water purifiers of LG Electronics refrigerators employ a UF hollow fiber membrane filter.
This filters bacteria and harmful matter but leaves minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
This differs with the water purifiers that use the reverse osmosis membrane filter that filters minerals and harmful matter out altogether.
When you boil or freeze the water purified by the water purifier of an LG Electronics refrigerator, you may sometimes see white matter settle to the bottom.
These are minerals such as calcium and magnesium that are contained in mineral water or ground water.
Causes and Symptoms
- White things are seen in the ice made from purified water.
- White things are mixed in the purified water when cooled.
- White things settle to the bottom when the purified water is boiled.
- White dregs remain in the dispenser of the water purifier.
As these are mineral dregs from vaporized purified water, they look white, but don’t worry and just wipe them off with a clean cloth.
