[LG Air Conditioner for Heating] Heating is not working consistently.

Troubleshooting

In order to prevent freezing of the outdoor unit during heating operation, the inverter type cooling/heating machine arbitrarily switches to cooling mode, thus melting ice of the evaporator of the outdoor unit or preventing its freezing.
In this case, in order to prevent cold wind to indoor, the direction of louver for the indoor unit is arbitrarily adjusted and there might be weak cold wind or no wind at all in some sections.

Try this

Check the target temperature.

When the gap between the indoor temperature and the target temperature is reduced, heating becomes less strong or stops.
Set the target temperature to 30 (86°F) degrees for use.

Does it say defrosting or pre heating?

If the indoor temperature is higher than the target temperature, then wind will stop and the product will be in stand by in pre heating mode.
If you cannot check it due to the exterior, then depending on the internal freezing or pipe temperature, defrosting operation can be started automatically.

In the cold winter, the cooling ability might get degraded compared to usual.

As the indoor and outdoor temperature drops, and the temperature of sucked in air drops, less hot wind might be generated or the pre heating section might tend to extend.

Check the inspection code in the display window.

If the CH** sign blinks, then turn on and off the dedicated circuit breaker for the air conditioner.
But if it says CH61, then it might be due to the clogging of the air conditioner filter.
After cleaning the filter, reset the dedicated circuit breaker for the air conditioner.

※ If the pre heating/defrosting section tends to extend abnormally, or the problem persists, then have it inspected by a service technician.
