When opening a new product, the filter’s activated carbon and dust collection filter are sealed and packed, so when the filter is opened and used for the first time, it can be recognized as smell.

It hasn’t been long since you bought the product?

→ It may smell like plastic because it is a new product.

It's just like how it takes time for the plastic smell in a new car to disappear.
In the case of air purifiers, the plastic smell can spread when the product is operated because it is wrapped in plastic after its manufacture.
If it's a new product, it will mostly disappear after a few days of operation in sunny and well-ventilated areas such as the balcony.
