[LG TV Smartphone Connection] How can I connect my smartphone with the TV using the Miracast or the MHL port?

Troubleshooting

LG Electronics mobile phone G PRO (released in 2013.02) and later models support the slim port but previous models support the MHL and thus need to use an MHL cable to connect a mobile phone with a TV.

What is Miracast?

➔ This is a wireless image transfer specification standardized by Wi-Fi Alliance™ and refers to the mirroring technology that shares screens by directly connecting display devices based on Wi-Fi Direct.

Try this

Connect the MHL adapter of your smart phone with the HDMI port of the TV using an MHL to HDMI cable that is offered for purchase.

➔ MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) is an interface that connects your TV and your handset so that you can play video and audio files on your TV.

If, however, you are using an MHL gender (an MHL to HDMI cable), an additional power terminal must be connected to the gender.
Some genders may not be recognized due to compatibility issues.

Note
Support of the slim port and the MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) depends on particular mobile phones and TVs.
LG Electronics mobile phone G PRO (released in 2013.02) and later models support the slim port but previous models support the MHL and thus need to use an MHL cable to connect a mobile phone with a TV.
Before you buy the cable you must identify the interface type to choose the right cable or gender.
Slim ports are not sold by LG Electronics.
