[LG TV] Remove the protective film from your self-installed TV

Troubleshooting
  • Newly purchased TVs and replacement screens come with a protective film over the screen.
  • If a technician installed your TV, they should have removed this film for you. However, if you installed the TV yourself, please remember to remove the protective film before using the device.
  • This film protects the screen from any potential damage during delivery, so it is important to remove it only after the installation is complete.
  • If the protective film begins to detach partially from the TV screen over time, the screen may appear defective.
  • Additionally, if the film remains attached for a long time, it may become difficult to peel off due to the heat generated from the TV screen.
Some TV models do not have a protective film and only have exterior packaging.
  • Be sure to read the precautions and remove only the unnecessary film after installation.

Caution

  • Never remove functional films, such as polarizing films or blue light blocking films.
  • To distinguish between functional films and removable protective films, check for a removal tab attached to a corner.
Only films with tabs may be removed.
  • When removing a film with a tab, exercise caution to avoid tipping over or damaging the TV, and gently pull it away.
