LG Electronics Sound Bar - How to install the rear speaker and the [LG wi-fi Speaker] app
Connect the speaker cable to the main body of the rear wi-fi receiver and the rear speaker.
Connect the black stripe cable to the [-] terminal and the other cable to the [+] terminal.
Once you turn on the main body of the sound bar and the wi-fi receiver, wireless pairing will be attempted
automatically, and now the wi-fi receiver LED will blink in pale green.
Once the pairing is completed, the LED on the main body of the wi-fi receiver will be lit in pale green and you can
enjoy the sound played by the main body of the sound bar through the rear speaker.
If automatic pairing is failed, then proceed in the following steps.
If auto pairing is failed, the LED on the main body of the wi-fi receiver will be lit in red and manual pairing will
be required.
There is a ‘pairing’ sign at the rear of the main body of the wi-fi receiver, and you need to press it with a sharp
object.
The LED on the main body of the wi-fi receiver will blink in pale green.
Now, turn off and on the main body of the sound bar. Pairing will be successfully done.
How to install the app
Go to Apple [App Store] or Google [Play Store] and enter [LG wi-fi Speaker] in the search window to perform your search.
In the search result item, select [LG Smart Audio].
Make a wireless or cable connection between the wi-fi hub and the sound bar.
This is an example of how to make a cable connection.
Using the LAN cable, connect the sound bar to the wi-fi hub.
If you cannot make a cable connection to the wi-fi hub, then make a wireless connection.
If you want to make a wireless connection to the network, then you need to download the [LG wi-fi Speaker] app and install it in the smart device.
How to connect the sound bar and the wi-fi hub using the [LG Smart Audio App]
This is how to connect the sound bar and the wi-fi hub using the [LG Smart Audio App].
Switch the Bluetooth setting of the smartphone or tablet and so on to [On].
Press the [F] button on the sound bar to select the wi-fi function.
Run the [LG Smart Audio] app installed on the mobile phone.
You will see the terms and conditions of use for [LG wi-fi Speaker].
Check the terms and conditions of use and select [Accept and Start].
Check the terms and conditions of use for Chromecast service and select [Accept and Start].
Select Connect Product.
Turn on the sound bar and select Next.
If you are using an Android device, then it requires authorities for setting the location.
If you are using an iOS device, skip to the next step.
Press Enable Location and check the details and select Allow.
You will see the list of devices that can be connected.
If there is no device you want to connect to, then press the Load icon to search again.
Press the speaker icon to hear the sound from the device.
Select a searched device and press Next.
If the network password is set, then the security screen will appear.
Enter the password and press Next.
Press OK.
