[LG Soundbar] Understanding Different Soundbar Statuses Without a Display

Troubleshooting

Some models of soundbars use colored LED lamps to indicate the status of external inputs or connections.
You can check the status of the soundbar by observing the color of the LED lamps.
The lamp colors may vary depending on the soundbar model. For detailed information, please refer to the user manual of your specific model.

If your soundbar does not support the LG Sound Sync feature, the audio from the soundbar and TV will not be synchronized.
Additionally, if there is no input for a certain period of time, the LED lamp will automatically dim.

Standby

Standby status is indicated by the illumination of a single red lamp.

One red lamp is illuminated.

Power on

When the device powers on, a red lamp will blink.

When you press the power button on the remote control, a red lamp on the soundbar blinks and the device powers on.

Volume control

Volume levels are indicated by yellow lamps.

As you increase the sound on the remote control, the number of yellow lamps on the sound bar increases from 1 to 3.

Mute.

The device is muted when the Mute button is pressed, resulting in no sound output.
If there is no sound, remember to check whether the soundbar is muted.

When you press the Mute button, three yellow lamps on the soundbar will blink.

Optical / HDMI ARC

The soundbar can be connected via an optical cable or HDMI - ARC terminal.
Press the function button on the remote control repeatedly until a white LED lamp lights up.

When changing the external input to optical cable or HDMI ARC, one white LED lights up.

Bluetooth ready.

This status indicates that the device is waiting to connect via Bluetooth.
To initiate pairing, press the Bluetooth button on the remote control repeatedly until a blue LED lamp illuminates.
The name of your soundbar model will appear on the list of available devices for Bluetooth pairing on the device you are connecting to.

If you change the external input of the soundbar to Bluetooth, it will change to connection waiting state and one blue LED will blink.

Bluetooth.

This status confirms that the soundbar is connected via Bluetooth.

When the external input of the soundbar is connected via Bluetooth, one blue LED lights up.

LG TV.

Only soundbar models that support wireless (Bluetooth) Sound Sync can utilize this function.
Press the function button repeatedly until the second LED lights up in white.

One white LED lights up on the soundbar.

After a moment, a blue LED lamp will blink.

One blue LED on the soundbar is blinking.

Press the Settings button on your TV remote control, find the [Sound] menu and select [LG Sound Sync (Wireless)] or [Bluetooth Speaker].
When the device is connected to the TV via Bluetooth, the second LED lights up in white.

HDMI IN.

This status indicates that the soundbar is connected to another device using an HDMI cable.
Press the function button on the remote control repeatedly until the white LED lamp shown below appears.

USB.

You can connect a USB device to the soundbar.
Press the function button on the remote control repeatedly until the green LED lamp shown below appears.

Connect the USB device and press the play/pause button to listen to music.
The LED will change to red and then revert to green.

Press the play/pause button again and a white lamp will blink additionally.
