When you use the robot vacuum cleaner, did you notice that it fails to suck in pieces of
paper or hair attached to the floor?
Did you notice that dusts fall off from the robot vacuum cleaner during cleaning?
Causes and Symptoms
- Dust bin is filled up with dusts.
- There are dusts or foreign objects in the filter.
- The sensor is covered by foreign objects.
- The nozzle is covered by foreign objects.
- There are dusts or foreign objects in the rotating brush.
- After the robot vacuum cleaner leaves, there is still dust on the floor.
The robot vacuum cleaner collects dusts and foreign objects and then absorbs them to clean them.
It is different from a general vacuum cleaner that uses the suction nozzle to suck in air to clean
areas.
So, it might fail to clean off wet foreign objects attached to the floor, hair likely to generate static
electricity, rice grains and so on.
If it cannot suck in dust very well, then check the rotating brush, the nozzle and the filter and take
necessary actions.
Try this
Is the dust bin full and ready for emptying?
➔ If the dust bin is filled up completely, its suction power can be degraded.
First, take out the dust bin and the dust separator before cleaning.
For your safety, turn off the power of the robot vacuum cleaner first before cleaning the dust bin.
By pressing the Dust Bin Cover button(cover separation button), open the cover and take out the dust bin.
After that, emptying the dust bin by pressing the Dust Bin button(dust bin separation button).
After that, take out the dust separator by turning it CW. Clean it with water or by using a vacuum
cleaner.
Make sure to dry the dust separator for more than 24 hours.
Are there dusts or foreign objects in the filter?
➔ Take out the prefilter and the exhaust filter from the robot vacuum cleaner before cleaning.
For your safety, turn off the power first before cleaning the filter.
If you want to take out the prefilter, first separate the dust bin from the robot vacuum cleaner and then
take out the dust separator. After that, turn the prefilter cover to separate it from the dust bin.
You can press the hook on the prefilter cover to take out the prefilter.
Take out the exhaust filter by turning it CCW after opening the exhaust filter cover.
If there are dusts in the prefilter or the exhaust filter, use a vacuum cleaner to remove than or wash them
in flowing water.
Dry it for more than 24 hours in a shade with no direct sunlight before use.
※ If you wash the filter in water, it can smell unless you dry it completely.
Dry it for more than 24 hours in a well-ventilated location with no direct sunlight.
Unless you insert a filter into the dust bin, dust can come into the internal motor of the robot vacuum
cleaner to cause a malfunction. So, make sure to insert a filter for use.
Are foreign objects smudged over the sensor?
➔ Using a soft cloth, clean off the 3D DUAL Eye, cliff and dust sensors.
After turning off the robot vacuum cleaner for your safety, wipe off the 3D dual eye at the front of the
robot vacuum cleaner, the cliff sensor at the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner and the dust sensor inside
the dust nozzle.
In case of narrow space for a cliff sensor, it is convenient to wipe it off with a cotton ball.
Is the nozzle clogged by foreign objects such as tissues, stocking, vinyl and so on?
➔ First remove foreign objects by using a stick before use.
If the nozzle of the robot vacuum cleaner is clogged by foreign objects, then it will reduce the suction
power, and also louder noises will be heard when using the robot vacuum cleaner.
For your safety, turn off the power of the robot vacuum cleaner first and then use a stick to remove foreign
objects.
Are foreign objects wrapping around the rotating brush?
➔ First, separate the rotating brush and remove foreign objects before use.
For your safety, turn off the power of the robot vacuum cleaner first.
After turning the robot vacuum cleaner upside down, press the rotating brush cover button(separation button)
to take out the rotating brush cover from the nozzle.
After that, while pressing down the separate lever for the rotating brush(separation button), lift the
rotating brush to remove hair or dust.
Press the cover until you hear the clicking sounds when you insert the rotating brush again.
Are dusts intertangled near the sweeper(rotating brush entrance) on the bottom of the robot vacuum cleaner?
➔ Make sure to remove dusts from the sweeper using a vacuum cleaner at least once a week.
Fine dusts with small sizes are not absorbed into the vacuum cleaner but they can fly away instead.
Meanwhile, if they accumulate on the sweeper, as a result, dusts can fall down as the robot vacuum cleaner
moves.
