[LG Dios dishwasher] ‘OE’ appears on the display

Troubleshooting

Has the [OE] (Water Outlet Error) appeared on the display while operating the dishwasher?

Your dishwasher washes your dishes by repeatedly jetting water onto the dishes inside and then emptying the water.
If all the water inside the tub is not drained, [OE] will appear on the display.

Causes and Symptoms

  • The filter is covered by foreign objects.
  • The drain hose is compressed or broken.

Try this

Does the water inside the dishwasher not drain effectively?

➔ Clean the filter frequently

If foreign objects remain in the filter, water may not drain effectively.
Clean the filter weekly or every two weeks and keep it clean.

Remove, clean, and reassemble filters
Cleaning the dishwasher filter
1. Remove the dish basket as shown below.
2. Turn the filter at the bottom counterclockwise and pull it up to remove it.
3. Separate the general filter from the stainless steel filter and wash them in running water.
4. Reassemble the general filter and the stainless steel filter and reinstall the unit.
Turn it clockwise until it clicks.
Warning!

Wait about 30 minutes after the dishwasher has stopped completely before you remove the filter for cleaning.
Because the temperature inside the tub is high right after it stops running, if you don’t wait, you may burn your hand.

Is the drain hose compressed or broken?

➔ Straighten the drain hose to allow smooth water flow.

Close the water valve before you check the drain hose.
If you see that the drain hose is compressed or broken, straighten it to allow smooth water flow.
If the product is newly installed, contact the installation service/technician.

Correctly straighten the drain hose and ensure good water flow.
Checking the height of the drain hose
Check that the end of the drain hose connected to the dishwasher is off from the floor by at least 30 cm.
If this height is below 30 cm, a sewer odor may come from the sewer and water may flow back to the sink.
Make sure that the end of the drain hose connected to the dishwasher is at least 30cm away from the floor.
In cases where water remains inside after the dishwasher finishes washing
If water remains inside when you open the door of the dishwasher, the power may have turned off while the machine was running due to a blackout or a circuit breaker tripping.
When the dishwasher starts, any water left in the tub will drain.
Press the Power button to start washing again.
