Does your dishwasher display an [IE] (Water Inlet Error) while running? Do you hear an alarm ‘dingdong’ while no water is supplied to the tub?
Causes and Symptom
- The water is cut off or the water supply hose is compressed.
- The water valve is closed.
Your dishwasher repeatedly strongly sprays and empties water inside the machine whilst washing your dishes.
If a specified amount of water is not supplied to the dishwasher, an [IE] error will be displayed.
Try this
Is the water cut off? Or is the water supply hose compressed or broken?
➔ Check if water comes out at the sink faucet or the faucet in the bathroom.
If the water supply hose is compressed or broken, straighten and/or repair/replace it to ensure a smooth water flow.
If no water comes from the sink or bathroom faucets, the whole house might be cut off from water.
If it is not a house water shortage, check that the water supply hose is not compressed or broken.
The hose might have been compressed or broken by a heavy object being placed on the hose.
If this is the case, straighten the hose to ensure a smooth water flow.
Did you recently buy or relocate the dishwasher?
➔ Check if the water supply valve is turned off and if so, turn it counterclockwise to open.
To prevent water from leaking, a service technician might have turned off the water supply valve while installing your dishwasher.
Open the door of your sink under the water faucet and check that the water supply valve connected to the dishwasher is turned on.
If this problem persists even after you have turned on the water supply valve and the water pipe valve, contact the service technician who installed the product.
Turn the water pipe valve counterclockwise to open it.
